WinAVI All in One Converter is a complete video conversion tool. It supports pretty much all the video formats that I know both as input and as output. The first thing that I noticed when I launched this application was its very appealing and smooth design. It honestly has one of the best designed user interfaces I have seen in a converter, ever. The main window has a big, green button at the middle of the screen that reads "Add". When you add a file to your queue for the first time, a new window will pop-up showing you all the supported formats and conversion profiles. There are quite a few, so I won't even go into them.
In terms of performance, WinAVI All in One Converter seems to be quite fast. I can't tell you that it is faster than its competitors because I don't have the necessary equipment for a good comparison, but it is one of the fastest that I have tried. But speed is not always the most important feature. I thought that this converter did a great job handling all the files that I tested it with. I used an MKV file and an AVI file. I converted one to the MP4 iPhone profile and another one to the HD WMV profile. The video quality was preserved in both cases. The MKV was an 1080p file, and it looked astounding after being converted. |
